'Raise the Bar' 6-Week Intro- Commencing 17 Sept

at PT Fitness Ltd (Tues After-school, 4:00-5::00pm)

BOOKINGS OPEN

  • These one-hour, weekly sessions are for children/teens aged 11-16 years, aiming to introduce them to the basics of Olympic Weightlifting in a fun, supportive environment with their peers
  • Drills with broomsticks and empty bars- weights are optional and only added if you feel confident. Games are incorporated into each session

  • Requires: Normal gym wear- footwear optional but flat-soled is best- avoid running shoes


  • FREE- funded by Weightlifting Wales.

Oly Lifting Beginners Guide Workshop-  Sat 29 Jun

at PT Fitness Ltd (11:00-13:00)

  • This two-hour workshop aims to introduce those new to the sport to the basics of Olympic Weightlifting
  • The workshop will run through the basic movements, with broomsticks and empty bars- weights are optional and only added if you feel confident

Clean & Jerk Skills Workshop-  Sat 10 Feb

at The Engine Works (10:15-11:15)

  • This one-hour workshop aims to break down the Clean & Jerk lift into its component skills, and focus on drills to achieve best practice
  • Suitable both for those wishing to learn the technique from scratch and  lifters hoping to improve / develop their existing skills
  • Requires: Normal gym wear- own weightlifting shoes optional
